What you get for the build price

£250 for the first five clients, then £300. Ready in about 1 to 2 weeks from your deposit and your details.

  • Four pages. Home, services, about and contact, with a short enquiry form.
  • Tap-to-call. A customer on a phone rings you with one press.
  • Readable by Google. Your business details, address and opening hours are set up so Google can read them.
  • Your Google Business Profile. Set up, or tidied if you already have one, with a review link and printed cards to hand to your customers.
  • The pages the law asks for. A privacy and cookie notice, and a 14-day cancellation page if you work in customers' homes. It is a plain template, not legal advice.
  • No cookie banner. The site sets no cookies and does no tracking, so there is nothing for your visitors to click away.
  • Easy to read and use. Built to aim for WCAG 2.2 AA, the accessibility standard.

What the £30 a month includes

The care plan runs for a minimum of 12 months. After that, 30 days' notice to cancel.

  • Hosting. On Cloudflare's network, with an SSL certificate (the padlock).
  • Your domain. Registered in your own name, with its yearly renewal paid.
  • Version control. Every change is kept off-site, so any earlier version can be restored in minutes.
  • Uptime monitoring. I know if your site goes down.
  • Monthly checks. Security and the enquiry form, every month.
  • One small edit a month. New photos, new hours, a new service.
  • Support. A reply within one working day, and 24/7 by phone if your site is down.

How it works

  1. A 20-minute chat

In person or by phone. I ask about your trade, the area you cover and the jobs you want more of, and write down your own words.

  2. Quote and deposit

You get the price and written terms of business. Work starts when the 50% deposit is paid.

  3. I build, you check

I write the words and build the site from your details and photos of your real jobs. You read every page on your own phone and tell me what to change.

  4. Live on your domain

The balance is paid, the site goes live on a domain in your own name, and the care plan starts.

Behind the scenes
No cookies, no tracking and nothing loaded from other companies. It passed the same checks every site gets before it is shown to anyone.

Shown from the current build.

The rules every site follows

Each site is checked against a written list before it goes live. This site follows the same rules.

  • Every page says who runs the business, with a real address, phone number and email.
  • No tracking cookies, and no scripts or fonts loaded from other companies.
  • A privacy notice that says what the enquiry form collects, why, and for how long.
  • Prices only if they are ones you actually charge.
  • Photos of your real work only.
  • Trade scheme logos only with your registration number beside them.
  • No paid-for reviews, and no star ratings a business has given itself.
  • Built to aim for WCAG 2.2 AA and for Google's Core Web Vitals.

Common questions

Who owns the website and the domain?

You do. The domain is registered in your own name and you keep it if you leave. You also get a copy of your site files.

How long does it take?

About 1 to 2 weeks from your deposit and your details.

Is there a contract?

Yes, a short one. The care plan runs for a minimum of 12 months, then you can cancel with 30 days' notice. Written terms of business come with the quote.

What do you need from me?

A 20-minute chat about your business, your contact details and opening hours, four to six photos of real jobs, and your say-so on the wording before anything goes live.

What does it cost in the first year?

£610 for a founding client: £250 to build plus 12 months at £30. From the sixth client it is £660. After the first year it is £360 a year.

Will it bring in more calls?

I do not promise a set number of calls. That depends on your trade, your area and your reviews. What I promise is that everything listed on this page is done.

Why is there no cookie banner?

Because the site sets no cookies and does no tracking, so there is nothing to ask your visitors' permission for.

Can I change things later?

Yes. One small edit a month is part of the care plan.

What if my site goes down?

Uptime monitoring tells me, and care plan customers can ring 07806 702491 at any hour if their site is down.

Do you add VAT?

No. Northphase is not VAT registered, so there is nothing to add.

Who is it for?

Sole traders and small trades businesses. I work with business customers only.
